I have not seen William W. Casey's birth record and I have had no luck finding his middle name. His obituary states that he was born on 6 June 1872 in Livermore, Maine, and that's what is on his gravestone, but every other record points toward him being born in 1873.

The earliest record for him that I've seen is the 1880 census from Auburn, Maine, where he was living with his parents in a duplex at 7 School Street. His paternal uncle and aunt, Henry and Abbie Casey, were living in the other apartment. See lines 28–30 in the image below:

William finished four years of high school and by 1896 had been hired by the Auburn post office, as evidenced by the following two images:

William was living at 97 Goff Street in Auburn, with his parents and younger sister, in 1900. See lines 82–85 in the image below:

In 1910, the Caseys were still living at 97 Goff Street in Auburn. William's younger sister Celia was widowed and also living with their parents, along with her two young sons, Harold and Ralph Fletcher. See lines 35–40 in the image below:

The following year, William purchased land in Auburn, according to the newspaper:

No address was given but presumably, this was 16 Davis Avenue, which the Auburn Assessor's website says was built in 1910. William would end up living here until he died:

Just a few months later, William married divorcee Ida Jane (Goodhue) Royal in Auburn on 29 June 1911. Both bride and groom were 38 years old:

In 1914, William's father, Robert E. Casey, passed away at the age of 72.

The 1920 census from Auburn shows William and Ida living at 16 Davis Avenue. See lines 86 and 87 on the census image below:

The couple, then in their late 50s, was still living at 16 Davis Avenue in Auburn during the 1930 census. See lines 18 and 19 in the image below:

After 36 years of service to the United States Postal Service, William retired in 1933:

In 1950, William was living alone at the age of 77 at 16 Davis Ave. See line 1 in the following image:
