George Albert Carson was born to Henry Dearborn and Eliza Farrar (Rand) Carson on 3 April 1852 in Corinna, Maine. I haven't seen his birth record, but his death record contains this birth information.

The earliest record for him that I have seen is the 1860 census showing 8-year-old George living with his family in St. Albans, Maine. See lines 24–30 in the image below:

The quality of this 1870 census scan is not good, but you can see in the image below that George and his family were still living in St. Albans in 1870 on lines 27-31:

George's father, Henry Carson, passed away on 18 January 1874. George married Selena Irene Raven in Mapleton on 20 May 1876.

Their first child, Frank Alden Carson, was born on 6 March 1877. Next, came Charles Albert Carson on 20 September 1878, and then Vesta Ellen Carson on 19 November 1879. All three children were born in Mapleton, Maine, which is where the family is listed on the 1870 census, spread across two pages. George and Selena are at the bottom of this page:

While their children are at the top of the next page, followed by George's mother, Eliza, and his brother, Willis, who were also living with them:

George and Selena had another son, George Henry Carson on 1 October 1882 in Mapleton. FamilySearch.org shows that they had a son, Billy, who was born in 1885 and died at a young age, but I have found no sources to back that up. It's plausible, though, given the gap between children. I think it'd be strange, though, to have birth records for the rest of their children, but not this one.

George and Selena would have three more children: Hattie Eliza on 13 July 1886, Harry Edward on 27 March 1888, and Mildred Hope on 17 March 1893. Those three children were also born in Mapleton. Unfortunately, Mildred Hope passed away at two years old on 6 December 1893.

A year and a half later, Selena would be granted a divorce from George on the charge of "utter desertion." See the eighth line down on this Maine Divorce Record:

In 1880, George's brother, Willis, was living with George and Selena. In 1900, George was living with Willis and his family in St. Albans. Willis and his wife and children are on the bottom of this page:

George is at the top of the following image, and curiously he is listed as "widowed":

The next decade saw George's eldest four children getting married and starting families of their own. In 1902, Charles married Sylvia Burgess. In 1905, Vesta married Frederick Fleming. Charles married Laney McDermott in 1907 and George married Addie Lue Gordon in 1910.

In 1908, George filed for bankruptcy:

Soon after, George moved to Masardis, Maine and  was farming there by the time of the 1910 census. See line 5 in the image below:

George died in Belfast, Maine on 2 October 1918 due to diabetes. Here is his death record:

George was buried in St. Albans in Crocker Cemetery, according to the Death Record, his obituary, and FindAGrave.com, but I have not seen a photo of his gravestone yet.
